after being commissioned by martin grant homes to redevelop a small site near the centre of guildford, full planning permission was achieved for a new speculative office building. the proposed three storey structure includes two floors of office space set over a ground floor reception area together with undercroft parking. the characteristic curved and stepped form together with a lightweight glazed facade that is set above a more solid concrete ground floor ‘plinth’ was in part driven by a desire to positively address the many site constraints that existed due to the irregular shaped site and complex neighbouring typology
